Not so long ago, sekaiproject announced that there would be a CD-check (or is it DVD-check?) implemented on the DVD copy, and I thought "Wait, you didn't ask what the fans wanted?".
I was considering whether I should make a post here (to rant about it), but I felt that was too personal and it wasn't good manners if I didn't have time to research about DRM affairs across the other companies. For example, I don't know if there's DRM installed in a physical copy steins;gate by Jast USA, and I singled out Sekaiproject for censure.
But now, that does not matter, because Sekaiproject announced that they had gathered the community's feedback (which is probably a resounding NO) and discussed with VisualArts on this issue.
Clannad's physical copies are now DRM-FREE.
I must say I am super pleased. Although, my newest laptop does not have a DVD-reader... well, I'll see how it goes when I receive my game. Clannad's estimated release date was October 2015, not sure if that has changed...
I'm going to start updating more at the end of this month, some exciting news from me I hope.

For those of you who are still around in this group, do not buy the otome game Taisho Alice from e2gaming. I have been checking up on their progress for this game a few months back and they were pretty much plagued with lots of trouble from the start till launch date. They even go as far as turning off their facebook page (where it had the most updates on what's happening) after their disastrous launch.
